Backlight engineered to kill zebra striping

Light boxes fail visually when LED pitch, cabinet depth, and diffusion do not match. Hotspots, dark corners, and zebra banding read as cheap — even when the frame extrusion is expensive. We size module pitch and diffuser stacks against face size and viewing distance before metal is cut.

Extrusions and mounts your GC can sequence

Frames are extruded aluminum — powder-coated or anodised — with surface, recessed, or pendant mount options drawn against the actual substrate. We note mullion, ceiling cavity, and hanger assumptions so the GC is not inventing structure on the lift.

Service access for drivers and graphic swaps is treated as a product feature. Mid-season campaign changes should not require dismantling cladding or calling scaffolding for a face that was never designed to open.

What are fabric / SEG light box signs?

Fabric light box signs — also called SEG fabric lightboxes — use silicone-edge printed graphics stretched into an aluminum extrusion frame with LED backlighting behind a tensioned textile face. They suit retail walls, pop-ups, and brand programs that swap campaigns often: facilities change graphics with tool-light inserts without dismantling the cabinet. What is the minimum order for custom light boxes?

There is no unit minimum — we quote single feature cabinets as readily as multi-bay concourse grids. Price efficiency comes from shared extrusion tooling and LED batches, so a one-off wall box is quoted on its own merits and a plaza program is quoted with rollout pricing.

How long does production take?

Typical production is 15 to 25 days after artwork and finish are signed off, plus transit. Large overhead runs, outdoor-sealed cabinets, and custom powder colours can add a few days; we give you a firm band with the quote.

How do you keep faces evenly bright without hotspots?

We match LED pitch, cabinet depth, and diffusion to face size and viewing distance, then power sample faces for uniformity sign-off on larger programs. Edge-lit versus back-lit is chosen against your depth budget and brightness target — not by default.

Can facilities swap graphics without a fabricator on site?

Yes for SEG programs — silicone-edge inserts seat into the extrusion with notes on tension and sequence included in the shipment. Rigid faces can be hinged or removable when we design service access up front; tell us mid-season swap needs at enquiry stage.

Are your light boxes UL listed or CE compliant?

We supply UL-listed or CE-marked drivers and LED components selected for the destination market, and we state clearly which listing applies to components versus the finished assembly. Landlord or AHJ constraints should be named early so the power path is engineered in.

How do you ship large cabinets internationally?

Cabinets ship in modular export crates with frames, faces, and diffusion protected as needed, palletised for your receiver's handling equipment. Manifests are labelled per bay or face, and we photograph packing states on request for retailer or transit compliance portals.

Can you work as an OEM supplier for our sign company?

Yes — a significant share of our volume is trade and wholesale work. We can ship white-labelled crates, supply drawing packs without our branding, and hold approved cabinet families so your reorders and graphic reprints stay consistent.
